The Tax Manager will report directly to the Executive Director of Tax. The position requires strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and tasking skills, along with extensive knowledge of federal, state and local income taxes. The candidate must be a "hands-on" self-starter who can function as a "go-to" person whether dealing with members of the tax group or other people in the company. The candidate must be able to work effectively on a small, friendly, collaborative team in a casually intense environment. This is a full-time position that requires three days a week on campus.

The Opportunity:

  • Gain technical and leadership skills

  • Develop broad-based business knowledge

  • Develop leadership experience

  • Establish a technical foundation

  • Federal compliance including preparation of the company's consolidated federal tax return

  • State compliance consisting of separate and combined returns

  • Preparation of quarterly federal and state tax estimates and extension filing requirements

  • Assist with state apportionment

  • Assist with Federal and state audits

  • Other projects as assigned including ongoing process improvement initiatives

  • Prepare income tax provision

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

  • CPA and/or Master's degree in Taxation preferred.

  • 5-7 + years of industry or public accounting experience

  • Prior corporate tax experience with consolidated return preparation

  • Solid understanding and experience in tax accounting, tax provision preparation, state tax compliance, and apportion

  • Experience with Microsoft Office/ Google applications, OneSource, and ERP systems, preferably with SAP

  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills

The global grade for this position is SE6

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $109,300 to $202,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
