Travel is part of this position, but the frequency may vary based on client, team, and individual circumstances.

This is a full time Director position. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

As the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation ofAlixPartners' proprietary strategic platforms, including Global Trade (GTO). This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic vision, as you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and drive the product roadmap from conception to launch. You will act as a liaison between engineering, design, and the Product Owner to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

GTO is a platform solution designed to achieve excellence in external spend along with efficient purchasing practices to achieve year-over-year profit improvements equivalent to revenue efforts on major product lines. It is one of many commercially focused solutions you will build within AlixPartners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • GTO: advance the platform to its next stage of maturity and accelerate its commercial momentum
    • Articulate, implement, and evangelize the vision for GTO
    • Advance GTO's adoption, and drive its commercialization and revenue generation
    • Devise and implement strategic commercial and delivery options for SaaS enablement that span from consulting to pure enterprise SaaS
    • Identify and drive partnership options
  • Roadmap Planning: Define and prioritize features based on business value, technical feasibility, and user impact. Create and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with company goals and timelines.
  • Requirement Gathering: Work closely with the Product Owner and other stakeholders to gather and document detailed product requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and insights to cross functional product squads throughout the product development lifecycle. Collaborate with architects, UX engineers, and developers to design new features and capabilities, provide estimates for development, and oversee implementation of features that meet product goals and quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication between engineering, design, and business stakeholders. Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of product priorities and objectives.
  • Project Management: Manage the end-to-end product development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management. Track progress, identify risks, and proactively address issues to keep projects on track. Balance priorities between on-going client delivery, business development/demo preparation, and roadmap feature development.
  • Performance Analysis: Define key performance metrics and track product performance against established goals. Conduct data analysis and user research to gather insights and make informed decisions for product optimization and iteration.
  • Technology innovation: continuously seek out and incorporate new technologies and practices to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of innovation, future-oriented in its approach to solving client challenges and capturing market opportunities.Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product team and the broader organization.
    • AI/ML innovation: Explore innovations and technologies in this space and determine how they fit into our roadmap. Collaborate and partner with firm's internal talent and external solutions, to advance our solutions from a technical edge.
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related science field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical product management or a related role, with a successful track record of delivering complex technical solutions to market.
  • Strong technical background, with knowledge of software development methodologies, web technologies, AI, and cloud platforms.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business outcomes and customer value.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with product analytics and user research is a plus.
  • Project management skills, including experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Proven leadership skills, including inspiring and motivating cross-functional product squads towards a common goal.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

Employees will also receive a generous paid leave policy including vacation/personal time starting at 7.34 hours per pay period, sick time up to 80 hours annually, parental leave and twelve holidays.

The salary range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $180,000/year - $400,000/year with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
