As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Vice President of Transportation who will spearhead initiatives to improve safety, food safety, quality, and productivity across our fleet and transportation operations.

Role Overview:

The Vice President of Transportation within CFG Corporation is a crucial leadership position tasked with setting priorities, aligning resources, and implementing best practices across our fleet operations and agricultural transport. This role involves overseeing all aspects of transportation and logistics to ensure effective management of our resources and operations.

Who You Are:

  • You are a leader with a robust strategic planning and operational management background. You have years of experience in transportation management, including supervisory and staff management roles.
  • You have created a strategic logistics plan for your organization that examines how it can grow in the next 3 to 5 years.
  • Ideally positioned for those seeking a greater challenge or poised for a significant career leap from a director role.
  • You have managed profit and loss responsibilities while devising and implementing step-by-step processes to achieve operational milestones.
  • Focus on continuous improvement in all areas, including capital planning for facilities and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse audience, ranging from frontline operational staff like truck drivers and mechanics, to senior leadership teams.

What you will do:

  • Develop and review the overall budget, explaining monthly KPI results and budgetary alignments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal transportation customers and manage capital planning for equipment and facilities.
  • Monitor costs and approve expenditures, aligning company initiatives with transportation capabilities.
  • Structure support for our evolving business needs, conduct performance reviews and participate in accident review committees.
  • Organize and attend critical safety and training events, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and effective hiring practices.
  • Lead transportation initiatives, assist in due diligence for CFG growth projects, and ensure the integration of industry best practices in technology and systems.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to provide necessary support and collaboration.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelors (preferred)

Experience
Capital Planning, Facility, and equipment knowledge (preferred)
5 - 10 years: Transportation management experience preferred, including front line supervision and staff management (preferred)
