System Job Title: Project Manager (DPM-04)

POSITION SUMMARY

A "Home Games" Fairs & Events project manager is responsible for both import and export functions, import management and coordination of goods by air and by sea from arrival USA port or airport, managing the Customs clearance and arranging final delivery to final destination / exhibition site. Export coordination by air or sea may also be required to return the shipment back to origin or final customer. Some travel to USA trade shows will be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the importation of goods by air and by sea, including Customs clearance and delivery to final destination.
  • Managing of the re-exportation of the goods by air or sea back to origin
  • Communication with overseas agents / offices and customers, airlines, Customs Brokers and truckers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Liasing in person with customers, suppliers and general show contractors when on exhibition site
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for Customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, Powers of Attorney and other relevant paperwork
  • Approval of supplier invoices
  • Invoicing to overseas offices / clients
  • Mange relationships with customer and vendors while providing a high level of customer service

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of freight forwarding experience
  • Knowledge of ocean or air logistics

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with logistics software such as Cargo Wise would be helpful

Language Skills

  • Fluency in English required
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to Lift/Carry and Push/Pull

  • 21-50 pounds
  • Reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.

Other Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, travel by car or plane

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily the role is office based. Some travel is required to USA based trade shows where a lot of walking will be required. This will take place during daylight and night time hours as required.
