Overview

If you are an ECAD designer who specializes in printed circuit boards, CAES Mission Systems is the place for you! With these skills, our PCB Designer converts customer specifications and/or electrical engineering concepts of moderate complexity to practical RF, Digital or Mixed Technology PCB design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design printed circuit boards based on inputs from Electrical Engineers.
  • Import schematics, create library parts, layout and routing of circuit boards and drawing release.
  • Demonstrates a mastery of ECAD applications, the candidate will primarily design RF printed circuit boards using PCB Design software.
  • Assimilates the schematic, parts list, engineering concept, customer requirements, and other data as required to plan a design layout.
  • Completes design layouts to document engineering and design decisions, as well as provide basis for completion of detailed drawings.
  • Works with ECR/ECO generation/implementation, Bill of Material generation and the use of our data management tool (PLM)

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or Accredited GED.
  • Minimum 2 years' technically related experience as a Designer.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.
  • This position will require the ability to gain security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Associate's Degree in a technical field.
  • 4 years' experience as a Designer.
  • Working knowledge of IPC specifications for design and manufacturability of PCB. Specifically, IPC-2221.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Y-14 Drawing and Dimensioning Standards. Specifically, ASME Y 14.100 Engineering Drawing practices and ASME Y-14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Working knowledge of Altium and AutoCAD.
  • Creative thinking skills, Basic Engineering principles, design practices and manufacturing methods/procedures.
  • Knowledge/Experience working in the defense industry.
  • Active DOD clearance.

Salary Range: $68,000 - $99,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
