This position is a PART TIME/ 20 hour per week position.


Position Summary

The therapist will provide individual and group therapy to adults residing in an acute secure LTSR setting. Therapists perform initial assessment, complete treatment plans, meet individually with a caseload of 3-4 residents, run weekly groups and coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on client needs.

Essential Duties and Functions

Therapy

  • Conduct intake assessments. These include monthly updates to paperwork/crisis plans/treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health issues.

Caseload management

  • Maintain active caseload (3-4 residents) including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment.
  • Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.
  • Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.

Administrative

  • Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field. Licensed or license eligible.
  • Two years' experience providing direct therapy in the area of mental health, substance use or IDD.
  • Familiar with standard business computer software programs and electronic Health Care Database programs.
  • ACT 33/34 clearances if required by program
  • FBI clearance, as needed

  • Light: exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The use of arm and/or leg control requires force greater than sedentary, but worker still sits majority of time.
