Job Summary

This position is for a summer undergraduate research fellow, who will perform research functions as an intern in the principal investigator's battery research group. The intern will learn how to conduct literature review, shadow a graduate student in their project, learn how to make and test coin cells for battery research and present their findings.

Essential Functions

  • Literature review - conduct review of academic papers related to the project and summarize their findings.
  • Perform experiments - shadow graduate researchers and make coin cells for electrochemical testing.
  • Report results and present in group meetings held once a week.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • A HS Diploma or GED is required.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Candidate must currently be pursuing an engineering undergraduate degree.

  • Typically sitting at a desk/table

Location

  • University City - Philadelphia, PA

Additional Information

This is a part-time, temporary position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
