Summary
This role focuses on the final stages of product creation, specifically handling various alloys. As a Shipping Clerk, responsibilities include assembling pallets, preparing items for shipment, and accurately processing associated paperwork. The position ensures proper product identification, manages material loading onto outbound trucks, and plays a crucial role in the shipping process.
Responsibilities
  • Locate and prepare products for shipment and return to stock.
  • Operate marking and banding machines; manage product identification and documentation.
  • Complete documentation such as MTR, packing slip, and bill of lading.
  • Verify the match between the shop router and product material; ensure proper sign-off on the router before shipping.
  • Conduct daily equipment maintenance; verify product weights and conditions.
  • Load/unload products onto trucks; coordinate with truck drivers and external services.
  • Address shipping exceptions, report issues to the Supervisor, and implement corrective actions.
  • Adhere to company safety standards, emergency procedures, and complete assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Familiarity with the shipping process.
  • Experience operating lift trucks.
  • Proficiency in using hand power tools like nail guns and grinders.
  • Successful completion of Custom Alloy Lift Truck competency review.
  • Proficient in English (spoken, written, and reading).
Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or GED (equivalent training/experience considered).
