Program Summary:
The Coordinated Homeless Outreach Center (CHOC), is the only year-round, 24/7 emergency housing service for adults experiencing homelessness in Montgomery County. CHOC provides emergency shelter, service counseling, transportation, meals, clothing, life skills, and benefits counseling.
The program is a partnership with Montgomery County's Office of Behavioral Health and Resources for Human Development.
Position Summary:
The Direct Support Professional is responsible for safety and supervision of our consumers with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Behavioral health histories to facilitate healthy and socially acceptable behaviors while living in community-based sites. This position will coordinate with clinical staff, implement residentially-based interventions and assist the clients in achieving their clinical assignments. The DSP is responsible for fulfilling the obligations as outlined in the client's program plan. The DSP will prompt or assist, as necessary, to ensure the clients participate in the activities of daily living, in both the home and the community. There is a part-time position available that would be Thursday and Friday overnights, 11pm-7am. We also have On-Call shifts available.

Lifting Requirements
Medium: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
