Job Description

The NDAC (Nokia Digital Automation Cloud) Network Solutions team seeks a Solution Application Engineer to strengthen the existing team. In this role, you would contribute to and take the lead in different types of test activities. You would work with members from the solution team but also cooperate closely with team members from other NDAC teams. You would also contribute to customer-specific NDAC solution testing work via particular projects.


The candidate is expected to be open-minded, a team player, and ready to work in a fast-changing environment. To be successful in the role, a candidate should have a detailed understanding of radio architecture, related building blocks, and how to configure and troubleshoot solutions in an E2E manner. The role is not limited to testing only; the candidate is expected to be ready to work on the customer front as well.

Although the role's primary focus is the radio domain, an end-to-end solution-level understanding of the telecom system is required to resolve solution-level topics.

In this position, you will have a frontline view of the fast-growing enterprise segment and the opportunity to contribute to NDAC's success in this segment.


In summary, as part of the NDAC Solutions team, you will:

  • Contribute to test planning and testing of NDAC (Nokia Digital automation Cloud) solution E2E testing
  • Contribute to test environment building and development to meet requirements that the Enterprise private sector will set for the solution
  • Your role will cover from single feature to E2E testing related to devices, radio, core, edge, and applications
  • Participate in project-related tasks like testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
  • Gain insight into enterprise solutions in a fast-changing and dynamic environment.

You have:

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. Degree in Telecommunication/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related competencies.
  • 4G and 5G telecommunication knowledge, including Nokia HW and SW knowhow, is a must.
  • Strong radio (4G and 5G) and E2E testing experience
  • Radio SW architecture knowledge is required to contribute efficiently in this area.
  • Trouble shooting know-how, related tools, and analytic mindset.
  • Test environment building and development (test automation) experience
  • Radio network planning and performance analysis capability is seen as a plus.
  • General interest in telecom and computer science and developing personal skills
  • Strong quality and continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
  • Great interaction and collaboration skills
  • Motivation and desire to learn in a fast-paced, high-technology environment
  • Flexibility on a need basis is seen as a plus.
