1. Designing and developing high-quality, robust, and scalable backend solutions using Groovy Grails, Spring Boot, and ElasticSearch.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration with frontend components.
3. Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
4. Optimizing application performance and identifying bottlenecks through profiling, monitoring, and debugging.
5. Implementing search functionality and optimizing search performance using ElasticSearch.
6. Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including architecture designs, API specifications, and deployment instructions.
7. Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to established guidelines.
8. Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in backend development, specifically related to Groovy Grails, Spring Boot, and ElasticSearch, and incorporating them into the development process where applicable.
9. Collaborating with the DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and scaling of backend applications.
10. Troubleshooting and resolving backend-related issues, including bug fixes and performance optimizations.
11. Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. 4+ years experience in software development with experience in backend software development
3. Demonstrated experience as a Backend Software Engineer, with a focus on Groovy Grails and/or Spring Boot.
4. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
5. Proficiency in Groovy Grails, Spring Boot, and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Data, Spring MVC).
6. Experience with ElasticSearch, including indexing, querying, and performance tuning.
7. Familiarity with database technologies, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
8. Good knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Gradle, Maven).
9. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
10. Ability to write efficient, reusable, and testable code.
11. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
12. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
13. Self-motivated and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with other search engines, such as Apache Solr or Lucene.
2. Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
3. Familiarity with message brokers, such as RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka.
4. Understanding of microservices architecture and related concepts.
