Job Description
Almac Group is currently seeking a Calibration Specialist for our Durham, NC location. The Calibration Specialist will ensure the Almac US Facilities calibration management activities related to equipment and instrumentation are executed and documented as required by each Almac Business Unit. Maintain regulatory compliance for the calibration program and associated systems and operations that support the Almac Business Units.
7am-4pm
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the calibration activities as required to maintain regulatory
compliancy, including but not limited to: maintaining a master calibration
list, calibration schedules, control of supporting calibration
documentation, and ensure adherence to all related SOP's. Provide the
required change management documentation support and the maintain
the validated state of equipment and instrumentation.
Support the calibration and criticality risk assessment process. Provide
calibration subject matter expertise and technical details as required to
thoroughly complete calibration risk assessments and provide
recommendations to the end users.
Support calibration activities and contractors are coordinated into the
operational schedules as required to limit operational downtime while
ensuring calibrations have been completed and documented prior to the
due date.
Support the calibration budget finding cost savings while maintaining
compliancy and an effective program. Support the contractor service
agreements ensuring that the contractor upholds the agreement and are
providing good value for money.
Support the health and safety program within the calibration team
including core risk assessments and equipment risk assessments.
Ensure risk assessment training for staff and contractors maintain
compliancy.
Maintain the Master Calibration List including revision of the list for commissioning new
instrumentation or decommissioning existing instrumentation
Ensure that all calibration activities and associated documentation are completed prior to their
due date.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Technical understanding and 5 + years of experience in performing calibration activities of equipment and devices
Complete knowledge of technical details related to instrumentation calibration, test points,
tolerances, and accuracy
Defining and applying risk within a calibration environment BMS Systems
Technical writing that clearly defines processes and procedures
Preferred Experience / Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Technical training in electronics and/or controls
Calibration within a cGMP environment experience preferred
