SIGN ON BONUS: $500.00 (gross) for full-time staff and $250.00 (gross) for part-time staff. Receive the first 1/2 amount following New Hire Orientation/Onboarding, then the second 1/2 following successful completion of 90-day New Hire Probation.


Location: Philadelphia PA, 19128

Full-Time & Part-Time shifts available

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the safety and supervision of our consumers with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and behavioral health histories to facilitate healthy and socially acceptable behaviors while living in community-based sites. You will coordinate with clinical staff, implement residentially-based interventions, and assist the clients in achieving their clinical assignments. You are responsible for fulfilling the obligations as outlined in the client's program plan. You will prompt or assist, as necessary, to ensure the clients participate in the activities of daily living, in both the home and the community. What You'll Be Doing (Essential Job Duties)

  • Providing supervision of individuals in accordance with the person-centered ISP; supporting someone to work towards outcomes identified in ISP and other Person-Centered Support Plans
  • Completing all required documentation
  • Administering Medication
  • Providing transportation to consumers
  • Supporting consumers in activities of daily living, meal prep, toileting, and hygiene, as appropriate
  • Assisting in Community Integration Activities and access to community Supports including medical appointments, social security access, etc.
  • Completing all other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required, associates or bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Prior experience in the human services field, preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance. If applicable

RHD employees working in programs within the City of Philadelphia are required to provide proof of Covid vaccination. If not fully vaccinated, they must receive at least one shot in a two -dose series or a single dose in a one-dose series before beginning in-person shifts. Final doses must be received within 8 weeks of hire.
