The Lodge is one of the many programs of RHD, a national human services nonprofit, founded in 1970. Resources for Human Development serves tens of thousands of people of all abilities every year with caring, effective and innovative programs addressing intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, homelessness, addiction recovery and more.

At RHD, we're committed to the fundamental value of dignity and respect for all human beings, to the empowerment of those we serve and our more than 4,600 employees, to a collaborative management model, and to the importance of timely change and risk-taking.

RHD is a different kind of company led by its values, no divisive walls, no cubicles, no private offices. Our experience has shown that in a relaxed atmosphere where employees have the chance to deal openly and directly with each other, the work environment is significantly better, communications are clear, and attitudes remain positive. We emphasize group decision-making and decentralization, so that staff has maximum authority, creativity, freedom and support to help meet the needs of the people we serve, without cumbersome centralized bureaucracy. In partnership with local governments and those we serve, RHD builds better lives, families and communities.

Our Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) services consist of advocacy for Persons in Recovery (PIRs); sharing of coping skills and providing recovery information for PIRs. The CPS performs a wide range of tasks to assist PIRs in regaining control over their own recovery process. This includes but is not limited to the development of natural supports, development of social interactions in the community and management of symptoms that challenge wellness in an individual. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.

The CPS positions at The Lodge are part-time 8 hours a week, $17.38/hr. This position includes a $300 hiring bonus.
