RHD's Stepping Stones is looking for an LPN! Full Time at 32 hours per week.

SIGN ON BONUS OF $3000 AND RETENTION BONUS OF $3000 AVAILABLE!!!!

  • of approved amount paid at successful completion of 90 days employment, of approved amount paid at 180 days of successful employment*
  • The sign on bonuses pro-rated for Part Time positions being filled. (i.e. 20 hrs/week =50% of the above)
  • On Call staff who take a full-time position are eligible for the above

This is a position in RHD's Stepping Stones Long-Term Partial Hospital Program serving children ages 6 to 11 from the Philadelphia area with significant behavioral, emotional & traumatic histories. The program is a behavioral health program that offers individual, group and family therapy, medication management with the Child Psychiatrist, as well as functioning as the child's educational setting with classroom instruction with up to 4 hours per day. We work closely with the Philadelphia School District & neighborhood schools. The program follows a modified schedule according to the Philadelphia School District for vacation and holidays and includes a seven week therapeutic summer program.

Position Summary

The primary role of a LPN is the oversight, coordination and direct intervention of any and all health-related issues directly or indirectly related to any and all participants of the program.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Maintains nursing documentation and medication records
  • Assists residents in learning about their medications; assures that medications are taken as physician ordered and recorded in electronic MAR
  • Provides nursing care including, but not limited to, wound care, trach care, diabetic counseling, etc
  • Assesses residents' health and emotional needs
  • Communicates with other members of the nursing and program staff; communicates serious issues to Nurse Manager and Program Director
  • Maintains confidentiality, including keeping voice low and not talking about residents in public areas
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with current license
  • Must be CPR certified
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • FBI and state background clearances are required
  • Child Abuse Clearances are required
