Objective

Primary responsibility is to manage a Branch Team of employees and/or more than one branch to develop business, provide extraordinary service to customers, maintain operational integrity and a professional office appearance, and manage operating expenses. Directs the daily sales, operational and administrative activities of the branch within the framework of corporate policies and procedures to assure good quality service to our customers, satisfied and challenged employees and an efficient and profitable operating branch. Fosters a motivational environment and strong sense of service and teamwork. May be licensed to sell alternative investments and insurance (not required).

Responsibilities/Duties
    Create and manage annual budget implementation and review process for community banking and branch network.
  • Oversee the maintenance of operating expense and capital budgets to ensure budget objectives are attained
  • Develop, recommend, and implement business plans, operational procedures, and system utilization to support community banking's strategic objectives and improve efficiencies.
  • Analyze profitability of branch locations and make final recommendations to EVP.
  • Create annual and long-term strategic plan for EVP for community banking (organizational structure, new locations, etc. through business analysis.
  • Exercise authority to manage performance improvement plans, FTE, identify branch needs and make staffing recommendations (approve promotions, salary actions, terminations, etc.).
  • Partners with HRBPs to ensure open vacancies, transfers and promotions are filled in timely or in advance. Interview qualified candidates and make recommendations for branch management positions.
  • Approve float and holiday staff coverage based on business needs.
  • Manage annual community banking performance review process to ensure Firstrust performance guidelines and employee feedback are conducted on a consistent basis.
  • Manage and approve incentive program and processing for all branch staff
  • Manage overall community banking management meeting planning and execution - including sales and operations.
  • Develop statistical analyses for EVP and manage projects requested by the EVP.
  • Oversee and create Community Banking announcements and communications.
  • Review and recommend Branch Hours plan for implementation, communicates changes to Marketing.
  • Manage operational, sales and administrative support staff in Community Banking to ensure full support of EVP, and branches.
  • Responsible for quality assurance issues with regard to customer service and day to day operations of branches according to the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Oversee department projects by setting deadlines, assigning resources & responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
  • Promote and enhance the corporate culture and foster the development and implementation of organizational vision, policies, and guidelines.
  • Build constructive and effective relationships to support a collaborative working environment.
Knowledge - Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or six (6) to eight (8) years of relevant work experience
  • Strong leadership along with people management skills and experience.
  • Superior analytical skills to determine areas of improvement and ability to find innovative solutions while considering all aspects, departments and individuals affected.
  • Experience in leveraging technology for business solutions
  • Ability to recognize and focus on critical issues.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead a project and communicate results.
  • Strong ability to effectuate influence with a broad base of internal customers.
  • Extensive background in operating policies and procedures and employee development.
