Job Description

The Sr. Training Specialist will be responsible for building and creating a learning culture focused on our front-line associates driving associate engagement and a High Performing Organization (HPO). Using the fundamentals of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Strong interpersonal and communication skills to continuous improvement and change management tools, the Sr. Training Specialist conduct training needs analysis and Design curriculum for learning materials. A Sr. Training specialist will Conduct formal classroom courses, workshops, and develop interactive training.

What You Will Do:

  • Works closely with Leaders, and front-line workers to understand individual roles, training needs and to evaluate training effectiveness. This includes developing role-specific training plans.

  • Create quality training courses and implements improvements.

  • Works with trainers to ensure they are equipped to effectively train associates including evaluating trainees' performance, completing trainer evaluations- etc.

  • Creates training checklists and qualification programs documenting that training has been delivered and associates are qualified to perform their assigned job responsibilities.

  • Works with the Leadership Team to identify training gaps using TPM loss analysis to prioritize training needs.

  • Networks with the regional TPM TP&D Pillar team and other Training Specialists for best practice sharing including using available training materials, checklists, qualification programs etc.

  • Learns and understands Ecolab's TPM culture by completing all TPM Workday modules to incorporate TPM, TP&D and HPO fundamentals in short- and long-term training plans and priorities.

  • May work with external training vendors and delivers tailored training programs and courses.

  • Coordinates the implementation and delivery of training curriculum of various delivery techniques (i.e., computer-based, hand-on, classroom, distance learning, partnerships with organization, simulators, conferences, and workshops etc. This includes assisting with determining training infrastructure such as training room and need for computers, technical/equipment, etc.

  • Work all shifts required to support training activities. Primary work done on day shift hours.

  • Collect and analyze training data to identify areas for improvement and track employee progress.

  • Modify training programs based on feedback and performance results (Skill Matrix Skill Blocks).

  • Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure that all training programs adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations.

  • Create and design and implement training modules that align with company goals, policies, and industry best practices.

  • Conduct training needs analysis for best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree

  • 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 2 years' experience in developing and delivering professional training (technical, SHE, professional, managerial, leadership, etc.) at all organizational levels.

  • No immigration sponsorship is available for this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Applied Sciences or related discipline.

  • Experience developing and delivering training.

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and the ability to do routine statistics

  • 2 years' experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and/or High Performing Work Systems (HPWS)

  • Experience with Workday and Training Features

  • Instructional design or curriculum design experience

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong people leadership, including mentoring and coaching skills.
