Responsibilities

This position is open to high school and college students seeking a meaningful career with competitive pay and excellent benefits. There is potential for this role to transition into a full-time opportunity after graduation.

Responsibilities:

    Digging, spreading and shoving asphalt and aggregates using a pick and/or shovel.
  • Lifting, carrying, and holding building materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Cleaning tools, materials, and work areas.
  • Mixing asphalt, gravel, and other materials using hand tools.
  • Performs a wide variety of manual tasks including assembly and disassembly of equipment and parts, directing equipment on site, maintenance on plant, preventative maintenance on equipment such as greasing, carry of asphalt samples, testing of asphalt samples and ingredients, and assisting with repairs of tools and plant components.

Qualifications

Experience & Education/Certificate:

  • Entry-level
  • Currently enrolled in a GED program, high school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
  • Trade school is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required. Reliable transportation necessary.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Ability to work well independently or within a team.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety-sensitive work environment.
