What success looks like in this role:

SUMMARY

The Director - Global Payroll is a key role within the Finance Centralized Services organization and will lead the global Payroll function to deliver world-class payroll support and services to our global associates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead global payroll operations to provide accurate and efficient payroll services to our global employees, playing a key role in payroll modernization to standardize, streamline, consolidate and automate global payroll processes
  • Partner closely with various stakeholders (finance, tax, total rewards, executive comp, HR, legal, IT, security office, the business) to ensure payroll is processed securely as per defined procedures, guidelines, legal requirements and in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Manage vendor relationships for managed services /outsourcing, holding vendors to task
  • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of the global payroll services
  • Ensure accuracy of financial information; compliance with Company policies and procedures including SOX and other internal control requirements
  • Lead payroll transformation activities to consolidate global payroll systems, harmonize payroll processes and enhance automation including the implementation of Oracle Fusion - Payroll Time
  • Keep up to date on required regulatory/compliance requirements and ensure compliance across the function including working closely with the security team to drive confidence that data is secured in transit and at rest
  • Implement a scalable infrastructure for reporting and analysis and forecasting accuracy
  • Operate with a mindset of continuous performance improvement to streamline and automate - always asking 'why not'
  • Manage operational aspects of the payroll function including vendor management, service level agreements, vendor contracts, etc.
  • Lead payroll activities for new M&A - work closely with both internal and external teams to identify RAID items, timelines, and potential gaps

You will be successful in this role if you have:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field with a minimum of twelve (12) years hands-on experience with a strong understanding of Global Payroll
  • Experience leading global teams and working in a global ecosystem, managing a global payroll function, including managing a global team of 20+ resources in various regions
  • Experience managing relationships with 3rd party vendors and negotiating contracts with global vendors.
  • Experience working with payroll providers in processing and managed services models, leading payroll transformation projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to combine attention to detail with big picture perspective
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization including senior executives; able to comfortably speak to business line managers and establish a communication cadence
  • Expert ability providing focus and drive in identifying and resolving issues that span organizations and partnerships, creating a shared vision for results
  • Must be proficient with MS Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Able to develop effective working relationships with various and diverse stakeholders
  • Experience preferred working with ADP Global View, ADP Celergo, and ADP Vantage
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines, resourceful and solution-oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team player who is willing to pitch in and help wherever necessary
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to operate with flexibility
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong presentation skills including the ability to successfully represent data and ideas
  • Effective communication skills expressed through conversation, instructing, written memos, written work instructions, and flow charts
  • Ability to gain credibility with local management, Influence others and make recommendations for change.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting goals and objectives
  • Exhibits strong project skills with the ability to write business requirements, manage a plan, develop communication plans, capture and work RAID items and hold teams accountable
