Cheryl Lucas-DeBerry is Training Manager for MRA. Cheryl’s background includes more than 18 years of facilitating, designing, and developing training programs (in human resources, leadership, customer service, and diversity), as well as managing training department operations. She also operated her own training consultancy, specializing in effective communications techniques and leadership skills.


An MRA instructor since 2000, Cheryl has a proven track record of helping organizations to:

  • Expand customer base by improving employees’ communication and interpersonal skills through the Customer Service Certificate series.
  • Improve the effectiveness of support staff through the Administrative Professional Certificate series.
  • Welcome the widest range of talent into their ranks, with diversity programs that show employees how – and more importantly, why - to respect and value the gifts of all types of people.
  • Equip new managers with the tools they need to fully engage and motivate direct reports through the Principles of Management series.
