Company Overview
Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation has provided engineering and technical services in support of the Department of Defense and industry since 1977. By providing our customers with quality products and consistently exceeding customer expectations, we have grown to a 200+ employee company with more than 10 locations with numerous detachments overseas.

NASC began by providing highly specialized acoustics engineering and analysis support to the Naval Air Development Center (NADC) in Warminster, Pennsylvania. Our engineering staff worked with naval base researchers to develop new innovations for anti-submarine warfare. In 1991 the government implemented a nationwide Base Realignment and Closure, or more commonly known as "BRAC" and relocated the NAWC to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. NASC helped facilitate the BRAC transition from Warminster to Patuxent River by providing an array of services including a method for the highly technical and specialized personnel of the base to continue working with the Navy during this period.

Over the years our capabilities have expanded to include avionics, air vehicles, sensors, electro-optics, prototyping, systems integration, and manufacturing. NASC continues to grow in our engineering expertise, locations and personnel. As we enter the next decade, NASC looks to continue expanding through supporting our customers with the quality engineering and technical expertise that has fueled our growth for nearly 40 years.

NASC is completely committed to excellence for our customers in industry and the Department of Defense. NASC, like our country, is deeply indebted to the sacrifices and heroism of our war fighters and their families. For NASC, we have a real connection to the warfighter. In many instances, our employees have served in the military - so we know the frustrations, problems, and life-threatening situations our warfighters face on a daily basis.

In 1999 the government established the Veteran's Entrepreneurship and Business Development Act to support growth in business opportunities for our veterans. This legislation dictates a minimum of 3 percent of the total value of government contract awards for each fiscal year be awarded to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB). An SDVOB is defined as a business that is (1) at least 51 percent owned directly and unconditionally by a service-disabled veteran and (2) managed and controlled by a service-disabled veteran, or spouse or permanent caregiver of a service-disabled veteran with a permanent and severe disability. NASC is proud to be a service-disabled veteran-owned business (SDVOB).

All federal contracts include clauses to meet the government SDVOB contract award goals. Contracting with NASC brings the right people with the right skills to solve problems and provide innovated solutions. Additionally, we can collectively help the government achieve SDVOB goals and give back to the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces.
