SINCE 1966, Alpine® has been helping customers design and manufacture the highest quality roof, floor, and wall components across North America.

Alpine, a leading provider of industry solutions and business productivity for component manufacturers, came to fruition in 1966 when Bill McAlpine and Charlie Harden departed Sanford Industries to form Alpine Engineered Products Inc. They set out with a mission to design competitive trusses, sell nail plate connectors and work closely with customers. Working from a small office in Pompano Beach, the duo produced 200 truss designs for three customers in their first year using just paper, pencils, and slide rules. Within the next few years, Alpine quickly acquired Trulox Connectors, a small nail plate manufacturer, and started writing the industry’s first software focusing on optimizing and pricing.

Over the decades, Alpine emerged as a trusted leader and grew across North America. Today, as a division of Illinois Tool Works Inc (ITW), Alpine continues its commitment to improving truss manufacturing through innovation, software development, and engineering services. Our comprehensive product suite includes software, engineering services, connector plates, equipment, and cold-formed steel trusses.
