What You Will Do:

 

We are seeking a Senior Software / Test Engineer with LabVIEW and TestStand Experience. In this role you will be working in a cross functional development team on new product development, your main area of responsibility will be developing test applications, using LabVIEW and TestStand applications utilizing NI and Astronautics designed test equipment, to implement test procedures for qualification and forward production testing of avionics products. In this role you will provide input to the design team in particular in the area of design for testability of our products. You will also be responsible for updating tests applications to accommodate newer LabVIEW versions or product changes.

 

This hybrid on-site position is based out of our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Cockpit Systems Products.

 

 

How You Will Do It: 

 

  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, systems engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project engineers to develop and deliver test systems which will be used for engineering integration, product qualification, systems verification, and production test of Astronautics products.
  • Working as part of this integrated development team, determine and document the requirements and mechanisms for testing these products.
  • Design, develop and maintain LabVIEW and TestStand Applications satisfying these requirements to automate production testing of circuit card assemblies and final product using Astronautics developed test hardware.
  • Execute verification of the developed tests to ensure compliance to and coverage of requirements.
  • Working directly with production team in troubleshooting, maintenance and deploying of the test equipment. 

 

 

What We Look For:

 

Required 

  • You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum five years of experience developing test software using LabVIEW. 
  • Experience developing automated test software using PXI chassis and interfacing with some of the following, analog IO cards, digital IO cards, DMMs, oscilloscopes, National Instrument's switching and signal routing systems, data acquisition cards, power supplies, RF analyzers, and RF power sensors.
  • Knowledge of hardware interfaces, such as GPIB, USB, Ethernet, and serial communication protocols. 

 

Desired

  • Experience using TestStand.
  • National Instruments Certification in LabVIEW.
  • Experience developing in Python, C or other high level language.
  • Experience developing and/or troubleshooting test hardware.
  • Experience in a safety-critical industry.
  • Familiarity with avionics standards, including ARINC and RTCA.
