The domain presales role comprises the provision of pre-sales support / expertise to sales team in their sales efforts. Covers a specialized knowledge of technical products, services, or solutions across the CNS portfolio. Contains delivery of in-depth and strategic presentations and demonstrations to clients and sales representatives as well as the identification of new businesses focusing on future technologies and the setting of strategies to develop new business opportunities. Comprises driving of Nokia's solutions across CNS domains as well as positioning and selling of Nokia's solutions to customers in coordination with sales and / or presales teams through a consultative selling approach. Covers engagement with external clients in defining and formulating their business strategies. Comprises understanding of customer's business model and long-term investment planning to provide customized support.
What you will learn and contribute to
  • Drive strategies and plans to develop pipeline for 5G Slicing, Orchestration, Network Assurance and Close Loop Automation.
  • Develop strategy, tactics, and technical plans for the NAM territory.
  • Guide the OSS team to succeed targets and create the baseline for coming years.
  • Understand customer business paint points and key performance indicators established to meet their business objectives.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities in meeting with C-Suite key decision makers to obtain executive sponsorship in pursuit of the sale.
  • Position the OSS Nokia value proposition, demonstrating business benefits, and ROI differentiating Nokia from its competitors.
  • Introduce appropriate senior software management resources in pursuit of orders/sales opportunities.
  • Partner with the broader Nokia sales team to leverage joint solutioning and effective sales execution.
  • Develop C-suite relationships with key customers and partners. Engage CNS (Cloud and Network Services) leadership in these relationships to facilitate creative engagements.
  • Represent the organization at key sales development events (conferences, trade-shows, regional events, etc.).
  • Work with alliance partners to extend our strategy in the accounts.
  • Adhere to the published Nokia processes.
  • Complete all administrative assignments comprehensively and on-time.
  • Represent Nokia in a professional and an ethical manner.
Your skills and experience
You have:
  • At least 8 years of proven sales experience in a software technology company selling to communication service providers.
  • Ability to understand at a high level the technical value proposition and then translate it into a business value position (i.e. consultative sales approach for selling solutions).
  • Understand Communications software, with prior experience in this space on technical selling solutions such as OSS/BSS, 5G slicing automation, fulfillment, provisioning, service assuranceand other related software.
  • Ability to work/develop the partner ecosystem to enable a stronger go-to-market approach to increase market coverage.
  • Competitive and competitively aware: Proficient at explaining strengths and vulnerabilities - can plan accordingly.
  • The ability to build C-Suite relationships and ensure these relationships are shared with other Nokia leaders.
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ of a random monthly to quarterly schedule - candidate should be able to work efficiently to maximize travel schedule, customer engagement, and internal demands.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
