Position Purpose:
Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Global Sourcing Manager - Capital & Tooling, we have an exciting opportunity for you. In this position you will manage the global supply base to maximize performance and leverage to positively impact financial performance of all Woodward business groups. Includes all aspects of commercial and contractual management of the assigned suppliers. Key focus is the selection and development of the supply base to match Woodward's future needs, but also includes support of the business group-based purchasing functions in the areas of strategic alignment and critical issue escalation.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Development of supplier level strategies or simple/medium sub-commodity strategies with oversite and review |
Analytics (Business Objects and external sources): Apply basic interpretation of data to propose appropriate actions |
Business Systems: Basic navigation of appropriate purchasing WISE applications and E-Biz environment |
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation, and process): Execution of existing standard T&Cs and WISE contracts |
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation, and process): Ability to understand premise outlined in LTA type agreements |
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation, and process): Effective participation on negotiations with lead on simple contracts |
Compliance: Ability to understand and apply GS standardized tools and processes as provided in BDDS |
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Ability to understand complex commodity strategies and discern application to own work and strategies (flow-down) |
