TT Electronics' Minneapolis, Minnesota facility, is an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of custom and standard magnetic components and assemblies. The Minneapolis-based site has over 50 years of design experience and specializes in the creation of innovative and sophisticated solutions for solving customer magnetic technology needs. We use cutting-edge materials and state-of-the-art design technology to deliver products across a broad range of industries including renewable energy, medical device, aerospace/aviation/automotive, electronics, food processing, instrumentation, industrial control, telecommunications and HVAC applications.


TT Electronics Minneapolis site is an industry leading designer and manufacturer of custom magnetic components and assemblies for the electronics industry for medical device, milo/aero defence and industrial applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will work closely with Engineering, Leadership, & Production team members to assist with design, production, research, process flows, process improvements, and documentation.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to learn about LEAN manufacturing, AS 9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 standards
  • The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will attend Manufacturing Engineering meetings as required
  • The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will complete continuous improvement projects which have a focus on quality, safety, and cost by creating and updating documentation, performing time studies and identifying wastes in a value stream, brainstorming, prioritizing, selecting, and implementing improvements.
  • Projects and additional duties will be assigned throughout the assignment based on current business and manufacturing needs.
  • Interns will be expected to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours/week and will be compensated on an hourly basis.

  • Completion of Junior year in an accredited college with a major in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation is required
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • A creative approach to problem solving is required.
  • Enjoys working and collaborating in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of the principles of LEAN Manufacturing is required.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
