Fincantieri Marinette Marine, located in Marinette, WI is a top tier shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Marketing & Public Affairs Intern supporting our initiatives in Wisconsin.

The function of the Intern is to develop the skills/capabilities necessary to perform as a long-term, fulltime employee within the Public Affairs organization at Fincantieri Marinette Marine, or within the Fincantieri Marine Group. In fulfilling this function, he/she will assist in numerous Public Affairs activities with a concentration on content development, event management, and employee engagement.

Samples Projects/Assignments:
-Social Media: Assist in strategy development and content creation for company accounts
-Graphic Design: experience in Photoshop, layout and design. Examples of past work will be requested.
-Employee Engagement: Plan and execute company morale building events. Play an active role in both structured and grass roots marketing initiatives to increase employee attendance.
-Event Management: support execution of high profile events. Must work professionally and collaboratively with cross functional groups within the company, as well as various external. Will assist in speech writing, vendor management, VIP coordination, and various other responsibilities.

Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma and currently be enrolled in a college or university program or recently graduated. Preference is given to those studying Business, Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications or a related field. Candidates must possess strong writing and editing capabilities, the ability to multi-task in fast paced environments, and maintain constant professionalism. Preference is given to those with prior experience in photoshop, photography, and past experience.
