Job Summary:
Provide training and documentation support to production departments. Assist in the development and updating of operator assessments and demonstrations for production equipment, as well as reference material where needed. Ensure departmental training process is meaningful, complete, and updated as changes in standards occur. Train and assess/qualify new and existing employees and hands on trainers in the assessment/demonstration process of their department. Provide flexible support -- coverage may be required across shifts. Keep neat, accurate records of training information, and provide all documentation necessary for entry into the training database. Participate in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties of the position. Observe and practice all safety rules and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment. May represent the department as a member of relevant committees and teams. Ability to use various computer systems and programs (Word, IMES, Legal Compliance training, etc) and assist other employees as needed. Ability to work necessary overtime is an essential function of this position.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in development and updating of training on assessments/demonstrations for production departments using the following methods:
2. Coordinate training of hands on trainers, new or transferred employees in the department on job
related tasks and guide them through the assessment process.
3. Work safely and follow all safety rules and expectations including use of proper personal protective
equipment.
4. Document the "best practice" methods of troubleshooting problems as part of the training process.
5. Coordinate special job-related training as needed.
6. Ensure all training and documentation meets UL/ISO/EHS/GMP/ FDA standards -- retrain operators
on changes as needed.
7. Conduct new employee orientation for plant as needed.
8. Participate in new equipment installations or modifications as needed.
9. Continuously upgrade personal skills required for department/plant operations, equipment
assessments, quality, safety, computer and associated software, and cooperative and
professional Interpersonal relationships.
10. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
